Executive Coaching is a one-on-one relationship between a leader within a company and a coach with the explicit purpose of helping the leader through difficult change initiatives. The change initiative may involve just the leader or the larger team or group the leader works within. In either case, the responsibility for successfully bringing about the change the organization needs lies with the leader. The coaching relationship goes beyond just giving advice. It includes a joint commitment to success.
Typical  Coaching Assignments
  • Personal/Life – Helps individuals clarify goals and take action to change their lives and feel more fulfilled.
  • Career – Helps individuals make decisions and take action to accomplish career objectives in balance with other parts of their lives.
  • Group – Works with individuals in groups to combine the benefits of individual coaching with the resources of groups. Focus can be on any number of issues including leadership development, stress management, team building, skill development, etc.
  • Performance – Helps employees at all levels identify gaps in current performance and develop and implement action plans to improve performance. 
  • New Leader – Clarifies with the leader’s key constituents the most important responsibilities of his/her new role, deliverables in the first few months and ways to integrate the team he/she will lead.
  • Relationship – Helps two or more people form, change or improve their interactions.
  • High-Potential – Helps develop individuals who have been identified as key to the future of the organization.
  • Feedback Debriefing – Assists with the implementation of 360 feedback processes, work with individuals to establish professional development plans based on feedback.
  • Targeted Behavioral – Helps individuals change specific behaviors or habits or learn new, more effective ways to work and interact with others.
  • Legacy – Helps leaders who are retiring from a key role decide on the legacy they want to leave behind and assistance in transitioning out of the leadership role.
  • Succession – Helps candidates for senior management prepare for promotion to more senior role. 
  • Presentation/Communication Skills – Helps individuals develop self-awareness of how they are perceived by others and techniques to improve the way they communicate and influence.
  • Team – Works with the leader and members of a team to establish their team mission, vision, strategy and rules of engagement with one another.
